Natalie R. Wieand, O.D.

NATALIE R. WIEAND, O.D. Graduated from Southern California College of Optometry with a Doctor of Optometry degree in 1985. Before optometry school, she attended the University of California, San Diego where she received a BA and BS degree in 1981. She worked with an Orthokeratology specialist in California for years before moving to Cary, North Carolina.

In addition to her extensive experience with Orthokeratology and myopia prevention, Dr. Wieand specialized in fitting all types of contact lenses. She particularly enjoys challenging patients such as those with keratoconus, irregular corneas (ie. from refractive surgery, or trauma), astigmatism or bifocal corrections.

In the field of optometry, Dr. Wieand is an active member in the Contact Lens and Cornea Section of the American Optometric Association and also the National Orthokeratology Academy of America. She is certified in accelerated Orthokeratology and also experienced in refractive surgery co-management and treatment and treatment and management of ocular diseases.

Dr. Wieand is a patient and caring, highly skilled doctor who provides patients with the best possible options for their vision needs.
