Contact Lenses

Primary Examination

Whether it is glasses, contact lenses, orthokeratology, lasik surgery or cataract surgery, a thorough eye examination is an important first step.  All of these options plus others can be discussed during this examination.

Contact Lens Examination

During the subsequent Contact Lens examination and evaluation we consider many factors, including age, occupation, hobbies, eye health, physical health, dexterity, sports, physical environment, the need for bifocal and astigmatic correction and binocular eye coordination.

In addition we evaluate tear production and corneal dimensions and shape.

Contact Lens Insertion TrainingOne on One Training

We provide one-on-one training and help you become comfortable with your new contact lenses.  Our experienced staff teaches you how to insert and remove the lenses and how to clean and care for them.  Using the correct techniques and contact lens solutions is a key part of success for many new contact lens wearers.

Contact Lens Exam

Trial Period

For many lenses, we provide a trial period to see if contact lenses are really the best solution to your visual needs.  For some of our patients, contact lenses provide the best vision every day, all day.  For others, contact lenses are useful for only specific activities.  Ask us today whether a trial period is available for the contact lenses you are interested in.
